本数据集是通过卫星数据和地表能量平衡法得到的全球陆地地表每天和每月的蒸散发量。该数据集的空间分辨率是5公里。ET数据生产的算法主要采用Chen et al. 2019 JGR 和Chen et al. 2013 (JAMC)最新修订的SEBS 算法。如何采用热红外得到无缝的每日蒸发资料请参考 Chen et al. 2021 JGR, 该文还对不同蒸发产品做了对比,结果发现该产品在灌溉区显著优于Landflux, GLEAM, MOD16, GLDAS, 和ERA-Interim 产品,再分析驱动数据的降尺度详见该文。MODIS LST,NDVI,全球森林高度,GlobAlbedo都已经用于此ET数据集的计算中。模型产生的全球地表感热通量、净辐射通量和潜热通量可以联系作者获得。

This dataset provides global terrestrial daily and monthly evapotranspiration (ET) products derived from satellite data and the surface energy balance method, with a spatial resolution of 5 km. The ET product generation algorithm is primarily based on the newly revised SEBS (Surface Energy Balance System) algorithm from Chen et al. 2019 *Journal of Geophysical Research (JGR)* and Chen et al. 2013 (*Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology (JAMC)*). For the method of generating seamless daily evapotranspiration products using thermal infrared data, please refer to Chen et al. 2021 *JGR*. This study also conducted a comparative evaluation of multiple evapotranspiration products, and demonstrated that this ET product outperforms Landflux, GLEAM, MOD16, GLDAS, and ERA-Interim significantly in irrigated areas. The downscaling approach for reanalysis-driven data is detailed in this publication. MODIS LST, NDVI, global forest height data, and GlobAlbedo have all been utilized in the computation of this ET dataset. Global surface sensible heat flux, net radiation flux, and latent heat flux generated by the model are available upon request from the corresponding authors.

The unit of evapotranspiration is millimeters per day. The data is stored in `uint8` format, which needs to be converted to single-precision or double-precision floating-point format before use, with a scaling factor of 1/10 applied after conversion. To reduce storage space, the `uint8` data type is adopted; ocean and terrestrial water pixels are assigned a fixed value of 255.
