This dataset lists buildings and properties that have been or are protected as historical monuments (classified or registered) in France, from 1840 to the present day. The information is sourced from the Mérimée database, covering structures from prehistoric times to the 20th century. It includes fields such as reference, building name, current use, address, protection type, author, construction date, description, coordinates, and is updated every Thursday at 6:00 AM. Some monuments without geographic coordinates are currently being geolocated by data producers.
