资源简介:
This file contains behavioural data from a study involving land snails, Cepaea nemoralis, which were exposed to pathogen threat and modulated using the oxytocin receptor homolog, L-368,8999. Data includes measures of avoidance behaviours as indexed by the latency of foot-lifting response to a thermal surface, the latency to initiate avoidance, and time needed to leave an exposure area. The data is associated with the article titled “Disgusted Snails, Oxytocin, and the Avoidance of Infection Threat” by Kavaliers, Wah, Bishnoi, Ossenkopp & Choleris (2023). The data was used to support the hypothesis of an evolutionarily conserved disgust-like state observed in invertebrates, such as the land snail.
