资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic organosulfur compounds made by Angela Hatton and oceanic ammonium made by Duncan Purdie during the Challenger 115A research cruise in the North Sea as part of the Land Ocean Interaction Study (LOIS) and the Rivers, Atmospheres and Coast Study (RACS). The cruise began on 6th October 1994 and ended on 17th October 1994 with a spatial coverage of +52N to +56N latitude and +2W to +2E longitude.
The data consists of:
-102 measurements of the dimethyl sulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column by Millpore prefiltration purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography;
-8 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate GF/F phase) by filtration and manual analysis using the phenol and sodium nitrocyanoferrate method;
See below for further details.
