East Midlands Reservoirs, History, Properties and Ecological Status/Potential

Data on reservoirs within the East Midlands, managed by Severn Trent Water Company and Anglian Water, that supply drinking water. The dataset includes 13 surface water reservoirs, their physical characteristics (height, age, dam type, geology, depth, size, total capacity etc), chemical status measured over time (alkalinity, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, salinity etc), biological status (phytoplankton and benthos), pollution status (source, category etc) as well as the ecological status defined by the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and UKTAG. This dataset contributes to the choice of suitable reservoirs to be sampled for legacy and active use pollutants, and their corresponding effects on ecosystem health indices.
