资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic DMS and DMSP made by Gill Malin and oceanic ammonium made by Malcolm Woodward during the AMT14 research cruise in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Atlantic Meridional Transect programme. The cruise began in Port Stanley on 28th April 2004 and ended in the UK on 1st June 2004 with a spatial coverage of +39N to +47S latitude and +20W to +50W longitude. The data consists of: -172 measurements of dissolved dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography; -162 measurements of particulate dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography; -169 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column by filtration, purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; -70 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric autoanalysis; and See below for further details.
