South Pole Atmospheric Nitrate Isotopic Analysis

This data set contains oxygen isotope measurements of nitrate from the South Pole Amundsen-Scott Station. A 6 meter snow pit provides a 25-year record of nitrate isotope variations and ion concentrations. Monthly surface snow and weekly aerosol collections yield a year-long record of nitrate isotopic composition starting December 2003 and ending December 2004. The data is broken into four sections: 1) ion concentrations in the snow pit by depth, 2) isotope composition in the snow pit by depth, 3) isotope composition of nitrate aerosol by date, and 4) isotope composition of surface snow by date.
