资源简介:
Over a four year period about 6,000 self-selected subjects were screened at least once during the conduct of the Ryde Heart Disease Prevention (Lifestyle) programme. Screening involved the measurement of blood pressure, blood cholesterol and triglycerides, details of smoking history, and an assessment of body mass. Some participants also provided information on exercise habits, symptoms of stress experienced and the use of alcohol, analgesics and psychotropic drugs and whether they considered that their substance usage was related to stress. Opinions concerning the feasibility of group programmes designed to reduce substance usage were also sought. Data from respondents in Groups 1 and 2 only have been deposited. These were respondents who were followed-up over three years, who provided psychosocial data, and who were given minimal intervention.
