Phytoplasma infection and Fe deficiency in tomato.

Phytoplasmas are phloem-restricted pathogens causing severe damage to several crops. Aimed to study a possible role of iron in the interaction phytoplasma-plant host, transcriptome changes of tomato cv. Micro-Tom leaves in response to 'Candidatus phytoplasma solani' were compared to changes upon Fe deficiency.
