In addition to all the functionalities of dbt Cloud, the Native App gives you access to an embedded version of dbt Explorer, orchestration observability, and a new chatbot experience, all in the Snowflake UI.

By purchasing the dbt Cloud for Snowflake, you will have access to everything you need to set up an Enterprise dbt Cloud account with the dbt Semantic Layer. You leverage your Snowflake (Cortex included) subscription to get the most out of your data. We provide everything else. **How our chatbot works**

Ask dbt (a dbt-assisted chatbot) allows for conservational interaction with the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer. The chatbot translates a natural language request using Open AI into a Semantic Layer query. That query is then used to generate and execute SQL on Snowflake's Data Platform using the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer. We use Snowflake Cortex Arctic to refine accuracy using a technique called Retrieval Augmented Generation
