Soil bio-deterioration caused by continuous plantation is a serious threat to the production of high value crops and to agriculture in general. Previously, we have isolated a Streptomyces pactum (Act12) strain which is effective in adjusting soil microbial community and mediating soil deterioration caused by non-stopping usage. Act12 could specifically increase the number of Pseudomonas koreensis GS in rhizosphere soil of ginseng. The major objective of this proposal is to investigate the underlying mechanism of the effect of Streptomyces pactum (Act12) on P. koreensis GS in rhizosphere GS. The whole-genome sequencing of P. koreensis provided the reference genome for transcriptomic profiling of P. koreensis GS treated with (Act12).
