This dataset is constructed by collecting and analyzing the demand and consumption data of sulfur pumps from customers in the Taizhou region, aiming to understand the purchasing power and consumption preferences of customers for sulfur pumps, thereby providing a reliable reference for all enterprises in the relevant industry. Classifying customers into three tiers: "High", "Medium" and "Low" facilitates better customer resource management: high-tier customers are scheduled for 1 to 2 communications per month, medium-tier customers 1 to 2 times per quarter, and low-tier customers 1 to 2 times every six months, so as to deliver personalized products and services and formulate more precise marketing strategies. The dataset development workflow consists of four stages: 1. Data Collection: Gather transaction-related data of customers concerning sulfur pumps. 2. Data Preprocessing: Classify, merge and accumulate the collected data to enable effective analysis. 3. Algorithm-based Analysis: Perform demand analysis on the preprocessed data, with the demand level P calculated via the following formula: P = [(maximum single transaction amount b2 - average transaction amount b3) + (minimum single transaction amount b1 - average transaction amount b3)] / [(maximum single order quantity a2 - average order quantity a3) + (minimum single order quantity a1 - average order quantity a3)] * K Here, K represents the consumption coefficient, which varies across different regions; the empirical value of K for the Taizhou region is 0.9. 4. Data Classification and Tiering: Segment customers into the three aforementioned tiers based on the calculated demand level P: customers with a score above 5000 are marked as "High", those with scores within the range of 0 to 5000 as "Medium", and those with scores below 0 as "Low". This tiering approach supports better customer resource management, with the corresponding communication frequencies as specified earlier, enabling the formulation of more targeted and precise marketing strategies.
