Details for appearances and defaults are recorded separately in the volume, although the information in both cases is substantially the same. The details for appearances are arranged in columns under the following headings: date, defendant's name, plaintiff's name, form of writ, number in process book (not always given) and attorneys. The information concerning defaults is the same as for appearances with the exception that the designated column where the number in the process book was entered for appearances is omitted and the details of the defendant's non-appearance are substituted in its place.
