CLIVAR Moored Instrument Data Assembly Centre at the British Oceanographic Data Centre

The CLIVAR Moored Instrument Data Assembly Centre is located at BODC and was established in 2004. BODC has responsibility to acquire, quality control, archive and deliver the moored instrument data collected during CLIVAR. The DAC deals with moored time series data in delayed mode, rather than data from real time observing systems. The data are mainly from current meters and ADCPs, though other types of moored instrument such as microcats and thermistor chains are also handled. Data from different international projects associated with CLIVAR are collated at BODC and converted to a common NetCDF format. Data are currently available on request and will later be made available online.
