Gut microbiota of piglets with and without NNPD Targeted Locus (Loci). gut metagenome

From different pig farms struggling with diarrhoea of unknown etiology (NNPD syndrome) case and control piglets were sacrificed. In order to learn more about the gut microbiota in case piglets versus control piglets, bacterial 16S and 23S rRNA genes from small and large intestinal content were amplified using the Gut Microbiotassay approach and subsequently sequenced using 454-technology.
