RNA sequencing of stony hard phenotype in peach fruit

The fruit of melting-flesh peach produce large amount of ethylene, resulting in rapid fruit softening at the late-ripening stage. In contrast, the fruit of stony hard peach do not soften and produce little ethylene. To elucidate the mechanism in stony hard peaches, RNA sequence analysis was conducted.
