Connectivity and rehabilitation of Endangered Ecological Community at Parramatta Park to Parramatta Lake: Project 1

This project will deliver environmental improvements and long-term benefits to Lake Parramatta and sites found downstream including the Heritage listed Parramatta Park. The project will significantly benefit and improve the current remnants of the threatened ecological community Shale and Sandstone Transition Forest and support threatened flora and fauna. Threatening processes managed by this project include loss of habitat and under-story, competition due to weed invasion, riparian erosion, sedimentation. The project will engage strongly with the local community through Parramatta City Council, and provide media coverage wherever possible.
