<p>3D scan of a 56 mm long notched backed point. Notched backed points
were especially common during the Gravettian and were probably used as
armoring for spears. The item is from the younger layer of the
Willendorf I/North site in the Wachau Region in Lower Austria. It forms
one of the many lesser known Paleolithic sites in the UNESCO World
Heritage Cultural Landscape Wachau, next to the famous site Willendorf
II, where the Venus of Willendorf was found.</p>
