资源简介:
Good data management and governance can improve the visibility and reuse potential of data for multiple purposes such as research, development and extension. Understanding an organisation or individual’s level of ‘data maturity’ enables the prioritisation of activities and policies that lead to improved data management and increased value of the asset. To assess the level of data maturity of participants in the Soil CRC, a mixed-methods approach was deployed. The Data Maturity Survey (attached) asked various questions on data management including:• The types of research data being created and collected;• The use of data management plans and responsibilities for data management;• Data storage and security practices;• Data sharing and access practices;• Data ownership and licensing practices;• Intellectual property assignment and rights; and• Data management practices. The survey results and synopsis are presented in the research paper: Managing data in collaborative research starts with the researcher: A soil CRC case study. https://doi.org/10.1080/08989621.2025.2525878The survey provides a clear direction for the research collaborations in general to meet the need of improving fundamental data management skills and knowledge of those managing and using data in a collaborative research environment.CITATION: Robinson, N., Channon, J., Medyckyj-Scott, D., Clarendon, S.
