Identification of the methyl jasmonate induced transcripts of the giant knotweed, Fallopia sachalinensis. Reynoutria sachalinensis

The giant knotweed emits volatile blends when infested by the Japanese beetle or treated with methyl jasmonate. In order to identify the genes encoding the enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of volatiles, differential gene expression analysis using the next generation sequencer was performed.
