METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING PEDAGOGICAL DECISION-MAKING COMPETENCE OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES

This study aims to develop a methodology for enhancing the pedagogical decision-making competence of future primary school teachers through artificial intelligence technologies. The proposed methodology is based on the competency-based approach, reflective pedagogy, and the integration of AI into teacher education. An AI-Supported Pedagogical Decision-Making Competence Model was developed to guide future teachers in analysing educational situations, interpreting learning evidence, selecting appropriate instructional strategies, implementing pedagogical decisions, and reflecting on instructional outcomes. The model integrates learning analytics, Natural Language Processing, and AI-generated recommendations while maintaining the central role of teachers in educational decision-making. The study concludes that artificial intelligence can effectively support the development of pedagogical decision-making competence by promoting evidence-informed instruction, reflective practice, and continuous professional growth in teacher education.
