Dataset for commecometrics R package vignette

This dataset provides a real-world trait, climate, and distribution data used in the vignette of commecometrics R package. The data is from an ecometric analysis of carnivoran carnassial tooth relative blade length (RBL) from Siciliano-Martina et al (2024). It includes:geoPoints: A dataset that contains environmental data (precipitation and vegetation) and geographic coordinates for each sampling point. traits: A dataset of relative blade length (RBL) values for species in the order Carnivora.spRanges: A spatial object (in sf format) containing species distribution polygons for Carnivora species. The ranges were downloaded from the IUCN Red List webpage (IUCN, 2025).The .rda file includes all three objects for seamless use in R.
