This dataset, named the "GameStop Phenomenon Communication Dataset", was created by the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity, The University of Texas at San Antonio. It contains 100,069 comments from the Reddit community r/WallStreetBets, primarily focused on the GameStop stock trading phenomenon in early 2021. The dataset was collected via the Python Pushshift.io API Wrapper (PSAW), covering all relevant discussions between January 1 and March 1, 2021.
