This dataset was collected by Renmin University of China from August 2023 to June 2025, targeting the demand for quantitative stability assessment in the field of Buddhist palm-leaf manuscript cultural heritage conservation and restoration. The dataset establishes an assessment framework based on the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method, and collects stability parameters of five typical colorants for Buddhist palm-leaf manuscripts—black, yellow, red, blue, and gold—via systematic simulation experiments. The data generation adopts standardized physicochemical testing procedures: color fastness tests are conducted using a pre-set friction tester, with microscopic morphology changes before and after friction recorded; aging tests cover four environmental conditions: dry heat, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, all-weather exposure, and natural exposure. Multi-scale performance data of the samples are acquired using equipment such as ultra-deep field microscopes, field emission electron microscopes (FE-SEM), and Raman/infrared spectrometers. The dataset includes four parts: assessment system content, color fastness test data, aging test data, and practical application reports. This dataset comprehensively records changes in core indicators such as color fastness, resistance, and durability of Buddhist palm-leaf manuscript colorants before and after reinforcement/coloration treatments, providing scientific basis and practical paradigms for the establishment of stability evaluation systems for cultural heritage materials and decision-making in cultural heritage conservation.
