Mapping and Expanding Library Classification for Marginalized Domains: Feminism as a Prototype

This demonstration database and accompanying questionnaire represent the final stage of a research project to map and expand library classification, specifically the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), for more equitable and appropriate coverage of marginalized subject areas. The database is intended to assist libraries that seek improved classification of women's studies and feminist materials, especially those with specialized collections in the area.
