This dataset is the ChinaPV dataset for the spatial distribution of photovoltaic power stations in China, with temporal coverage of 2015 and 2020. It uses Landsat-8 satellite imagery as the primary data source, and is processed via the GEE (Google Earth Engine) remote sensing cloud computing platform. Specifically, a random forest classification model was employed to remotely extract photovoltaic power stations in China for the year 2020, followed by post-processing steps including morphological operations, lighting data filtering, contour refinement, and visual interpretation to generate the final dataset. This dataset provides detailed information on the area and geographic location of each photovoltaic power station across China, reflecting the current development status and regional distribution patterns of photovoltaic power stations in China, and is stored in the ESRI Shapefile format.
