Greek Shark Logbook 2025

The Greek Shark Logbook 2025 is a citizen science initiative aimed at monitoring shark occurrences across Greek waters. This dataset compiles verified observations submitted by divers, fishers, researchers, and other marine enthusiasts during 2025. It includes species identification, abundance, gender, age, length, weight, precise geographic coordinates, date and time of observation, and environmental context such as depth when available.
The project aims to improve understanding of shark distribution patterns, support conservation efforts, and provide baseline data for policy-making and scientific research in the Mediterranean region.
