From high resolution data to create a morphospace, synthetic leaves are generated using data augmentation. Using thin plate splines, blade and veins are mismatched and realigned using a subset of core landmarks. A two tower CNN creates a common embedding space for blade and vein and distinguishes matched from mismatched leaves.
