Parasite and human genetic risk factors for emerging Plasmodium knowlesi malaria

The goal of this study is to identify underlying genetic determinants, both parasite and human, for severe malaria caused by the zoonotic Plasmodium Knowlesi parasite, and to characterise the population structure of the parasite in Malaysia.
