Ship Demolition Cycles and Cross-Segment Synchronization (2000–2026): Research Documentation and Aggregate Results
收藏资源简介:
This repository provides supporting research documentation and aggregate statistical results associated with the study entitled "Temporal Dynamics and Cross-Segment Synchronization of Ship Demolition: Implications for Sustainable Recycling Planning." The study examines monthly vessel demolition activity across tanker, dry bulk, and container shipping segments from January 2000 to July 2026, using continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and wavelet coherence (WTC). The accompanying Excel workbook contains nine worksheets documenting the data sources, vessel classifications, variable definitions, data preparation procedures, wavelet methodology, statistical settings, descriptive statistics, and aggregate time-frequency results. The underlying dataset comprises 319 monthly observations for each of the three shipping segments, obtained from the commercially licensed Braemar Markets database. These original observations are not included in this repository due to licensing restrictions. The publicly available materials are intended to support methodological transparency, interpretation of the reported findings, and further academic research. They do not constitute a complete replication dataset. Independent numerical reproduction requires authorized access to the original data and the relevant analytical procedures. Data source: Braemar Markets (2026). Temporal coverage: January 2000–July 2026. Important note: The contents of this repository consist of research documentation and published aggregate results rather than the underlying proprietary monthly time series.
