Alteration of gut microbiome induced by silmitasertib injection in a murine sepsis model

Oral delivery of a systemic CK2 inhibitor, silmitasertib (CX-4945), attenuates severity of experimental immune- mediated colitis through the presence of claudin-2. Considering that alteration of gut microbiome is promoted by claudin-2 deletion in a murine sepsis model, we hypothesized that silmitasertib would alter the gut microbiome through inactivation of claudin-2 channels. This study aimed to investigate the effect of silmitasertib on gut microbiome in a murine sepsis model.
