We have constructed 24 RNA-seq libraries from 8 tissues of Bactrocera cucuribitae, they are female (Midgut, Malpighian tube, fat body, ovary) and male (Midgut, Malpighian tube, fat body, testis). We aim to discover the differential expression genes (DEGs) among these different tissues, which may possess special physiological function related to the tissue. This study is the first report about transcriptomes of different tissues in melon fly, which could provide a cue for future research in melon fly.
