Effects of Tezacaftor/Ivacaftor therapy on the gut microbiome and clinical outcomes in people with cystic fibrosis. GIFT-CF2

People with Cystic Fibrosis (pwCF) suffer from myriad of gastrointestinal abnormalities in life past childhood. Dysbiosis of the gut microbiome is apparent in the CF population across all age groups, with evidence linking the dysbiosis to intestinal inflammation and other markers of health. This study aims to investigate the effects of Tezacaftor/Ivacaftor therapy on the CF gut microbiome and clinical outcomes, including intestinal inflammation and patient symptoms.
