Whole genome re-sequencing of DZ, GL, NC and SDL four Chinese donkey breeds

Whole-genome re-sequencing, alignment and annotation analyses were undertaken for 60 donkeys representing four important donkey breeds in China: Dezhou donkey (DZ), Guangling donkey (GL), North China donkey (NC) and Shandong Little donkey (SDL). The genetic variants discovered here provide a rich resource to help identify potential genomic markers and their associated molecular mechanisms that impact economically important traits for Chinese donkey breeding programs.
