2020 年香港中学文凭考试考生在各科的成绩分析

2020年的香港中学文凭考试(文凭试)共设24个甲类学科，当中19科设有中、英文试卷供考生选报；所有答卷，不论是采用中文或英文作答，本局均以同一评卷参考及评级标准处理。考生证书不会列出各科的应考语文。另设有36个乙类学科及6个丙类学科。每个考生最多可报考8科。

甲类学科的科目成绩，共分五级(5、4、3、2、1)，5级最高，1级最低，在第5级之内，表现最优异的考生可获5**级成绩，随后表现较佳的考生可获5*级成绩。第1等级以下的成绩不予评级，亦不会列于证书上。

乙类学科的评核工作由个别课程提供者负责处理。考生的成绩经考评局审订后汇报于香港中学文凭证书上。除应用学习中文(非华语学生适用)外，所有乙类学科的成绩分为三级，包括「达标」、「达标并表现优异(I)」及「达标并表现优异(II)」。至于应用学习中文(非华语学生适用)，则分为「达标」及「达标并表现优异」。所有「未达标」的成绩不会列于证书上。

丙类学科考试采用剑桥大学国际考评部高级补充程度科目的试卷进行考核，评分及成绩评级等工作由剑桥大学国际考评部负责。成绩共分五级(a、b、c、d、e)，a级最高，e级最低。e级以下的成绩不予评级，亦不会列于证书上。

The 2020 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) offers 24 Category A subjects, among which 19 subjects have Chinese and English language papers for candidates to choose from. Regardless of whether candidates answer in Chinese or English, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) will apply the same marking reference and grading standards for evaluation. Candidates' certificates will not specify the examination language taken for each subject. Additionally, there are 36 Category B subjects and 6 Category C subjects. Each candidate can register for a maximum of 8 subjects.

For Category A subjects, the grades are divided into 5 levels (5, 4, 3, 2, 1), with Level 5 being the highest and Level 1 the lowest. Among candidates scoring Level 5, the top-performing ones will be awarded Level 5**, followed by those with better performance who will receive Level 5*. Grades below Level 1 will not be graded and will not be listed on the certificate.

The assessment of Category B subjects is undertaken by individual course providers. Candidates' results will be reviewed and verified by the HKEAA before being reported on the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Certificate. Except for Applied Learning Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students), all Category B subjects are graded into three levels: "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)". As for Applied Learning Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students), the grading is divided into two levels: "Attained" and "Attained with Distinction". All "Not Attained" grades will not be listed on the certificate.

Category C subjects are assessed using the question papers of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Advanced Supplementary Level subjects. The grading and result rating work is undertaken by CIE. The grades are divided into 5 levels (a, b, c, d, e), with Level a being the highest and Level e the lowest. Grades below Level e will not be graded and will not be listed on the certificate.
