Share of companies with cyber insurance worldwide 2021

Although ransomware attacks are a growing threat, only 48 percent of organizations had cyber insurance coverage to cost losses. In 2021, Austria had the highest share of organizations who purchased cyber insurance to cover losses due to ransomware attacks, with 66 percent of Austrian companies having this coverage. On the other hand, only 32 percent of Turkish organizations had cyber insurance coverage against ransomware in the same year.
