Invertebrate Benthos biomass-data from the Porsanger fjord collected during the period 2007-2019

Benthic assemblages were sampled in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2019. Each of these years, between 5 and 22 sites in total were visited at the outer, center, and inner parts of the fjord (see also Merillet et al 2022). The fjord was covered in the innermost part (2007-2009, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2019) the middle part (2007-2008, 2010-2011, 2014, 2019) and the outer part (2008-2011, 2014, 2016, 2019). Hauls were conducted for 5 min at a mean speed of 1.5 knots with a 2 m beam trawl (codend 4 mm) and washed through a 5 mm sieve. The catch was then sorted, and each taxon was counted and weighted (i.e., biomass is wet mass). Megabenthic taxa were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level.
