In this study, we developed SNP markers that closely linked to a male sterility gene. SNP markers were developed from RNA-Seq. The sequencing reads were assembled into contigs. SNPs were detected by mapping reads onto contigs. Then, we screened and identified markers closely linked to one of the male-sterile genes (MS1) by constructing a linkage map.
