We collected 18 fermented samples from a strong-flavor liquor distillery in Luzhou, Sichuan, China. We extracted the total DNA of sample from 7 g of sample using OMEGA soil DNA kit. The DNA of all 18 samples were used for metagenomic sequencing, which was performed on the Illumina Hiseq 4000 for 2 x 150 bp paired-end sequencing.
