TRANSLATION OF ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS INTO UZBEK AND THEIR CULTURAL FEATURES

The article examines the linguistic and cultural aspects of translating phraseological units from English into Uzbek. The study focuses on the semantic, stylistic, and cultural challenges that arise in the process of translating idioms, proverbs, and fixed expressions. It highlights the importance of understanding cultural context in order to achieve adequate and equivalent translation. The article analyzes various translation strategies, including literal translation, equivalence, adaptation, and descriptive translation. It also explores how cultural differences influence the interpretation and transformation of phraseological units. The findings suggest that successful translation requires not only linguistic competence but also deep cultural awareness.
