Shotgun sequencing of plant leaves, pollens and pollen mock mixtures Raw sequence reads

Global pollinators and their associated ecosystem function have been threatened and the plant-pollinator interaction network has been studied to guide ecological conservation and restoration. In order to obtain more comprehensive and unbiased knowledge of this network, perspectives of both plants and pollinators need to be considered integratively. Here we focused on characterizing mixed pollens with better accuracy and quantitation.We examined the efficacy of a PCR-free genome-skimming approach to analyze mixed pollen samples. A total of 19 pollen mock samples were constructed using known pollen species (5 mockups of flower pollens and 14 mockups of bee pollens).
