Double-groove bearings are common mechanical components used to support and position rotating shafts. Bearing internal clearance refers to the gap between the inner and outer rings of a bearing, which exerts a significant impact on the operating performance and service life of the bearing. Appropriate internal clearance is critical for the normal operation of rolling bearings. If the clearance is too small, the rolling bearing will overheat, fail to work properly, and even cause the rolling elements to seize; if the clearance is too large, the equipment will experience significant vibration and the rolling bearing will emit high noise. Therefore, accurate measurement of bearing internal clearance is a key step to ensure the performance and quality of bearings. The vernier caliper method is adopted for measurement, and the value of bearing internal clearance can be obtained by calculating the diameter difference and width difference between the inner and outer rings of the bearing. 1. Data Collection: Place the bearing on a flat workbench, use a vernier caliper to measure the diameters of the inner and outer rings of the bearing, then measure the widths of the inner and outer rings respectively, and record the outer ring groove curvature, inner ring groove curvature r, steel ball diameter Dw, steel ball diameter Dw, outer raceway diameter D, inner raceway diameter d, outer ring groove spacing H and inner ring groove spacing h. Meanwhile, record the product name, detection items and detection method. 2. Data Calculation: The internal clearance of double-groove bearings is calculated using the following formula: Clearance = SQRT(4×(outer ring groove curvature + inner ring groove curvature r - steel ball diameter Dw)^2 - (inner raceway diameter d + 2×outer ring groove curvature + 2×inner ring groove curvature r - outer raceway diameter D)^2) - (outer ring groove spacing H - inner ring groove spacing h). 3. Data Conclusion: If the measured internal clearance of the double-groove bearing meets the customer's customized requirements, it is judged as qualified; otherwise, it is judged as unqualified.
