The role of ecology in allopatric speciation of riverine fishes

We integrate a phylogenomic dataset with analysis of environmental variables, meristic and morphological traits, and diet to investigate the environmental conditions and ecological outcomes of allopatric speciation within a species complex of riverine fishes from the central United States comprising Percina phoxocephala (Slenderhead Darter), Percina brucethompsoni (Ouchita Darter), and Percina nasuta (Longnose Darter).
