ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE VORONEZH REGION IN THE ХIХ CENTURY

<b>The article (dataset) examines the economic situation of the Voronezh province in the XIX century. It is shown that the Voronezh province was a typical agricultural area. The overwhelming majority of the inhabitants of the province (about 96%) were engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. The development of these branches of the economy was favored by the presence of Chernozem soil, which had a high natural fertility, and also the abundance of haymaking pastures. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the Voronezh province was relatively close to the densely populated industrial centers of the country, which showed a significant demand for bread and other agricultural products.</b>本数据集考察了19世纪沃罗涅日省的经济状况。研究显示，沃罗涅日省为典型的农业产区，全省绝大多数居民（约占总人口的96%）从事农牧业生产。该省农牧业的发展依托两大天然优势：一是拥有天然肥力出众的黑钙土（Chernozem），二是具备充足的割草牧场。尤为值得关注的是，沃罗涅日省与本国人口稠密的工业中心相距较近，这些工业中心对粮食及其他农产品存在显著的市场需求。
