The membrane proteome variations associated with tomato pericarp ripening have been investigated by mass spectrometry-based label-free proteomics. Protein patterns were compared between mature green (MG30) and red ripe (R45) stages. LC-MS/MS was performed using a LTQ-Orbitrap Discovery mass spectrometer. Label free quantification was performed using MaxQuant.
