Sequencing the total and active microbiome of Populus tremuloides in the Utah, USA

This study conducted time-series sampling of the Populus tremuloides root/rhizosphere microbiome across the growing season in 2021 in a diverse range of sites in the Uinta Mountains in Utah, USA. Samples were subjected to DNA and RNA extractions followed by metabarcoding to profile both the total and active microbial communities.
