Female c57BL/6 mice (n = 5–7/treatment) were treated with vehicle or Δ9-THC at 16 mg/kg on days 1–4, 8–11 and 15–18. On day 2, mice were infected with 5×105C. albicans/mouse. Colony forming units/g (Log10 CFU/g) are shown for kidneys collected 6 h, 12 h, 24 h or 14 days after the yeast infection. ap = 0.04 compared to vehicle treatment at 6 h; bp = 0.01 compared to vehicle treatment at 6 h; cp = 0.009 compared to Δ9-THC 6 h; dp = 0.0003 compared to Δ9-THC 6 h.
