This project was designed a chromosome-level assembly of the genome of the northern bay scallop, Argopecten irradians irradians. PacBio and Hi-C/Illumina sequencing technologies were combined to assemble the 16 chromosomes. The genome serves as a valuable resource for the study of scallop responses and adaptation to environmental and pathogenic stress.
