Lab 2: Field training with plants woodlot data

This study was done at York university Keele campus, Danby woodlot close to Keele street. It was approximately 3:00pm on Tuesday september 22,2015 when we started the study. Myself, along with my group members Katie, Ashley, Ava and Adam worked in the woodlot to collect data from 10 surrounding Maple trees. We would locate an adult tree and measure its diameter as well and canopy coverage and look for a nearby sapling and also measure its diameter as well as the distance between the two trees. We used transect measuring tapes to do all the measurements which were in inches. We collected all our data from trees in an area of about 100 x 100 feet and we finished the study at approximately 5:00pm.
