Do Team Trust and Leader Support Matter at Work and Beyond?
收藏资源简介:
Team effectiveness is examined using the Arc of Purposeful Leadership model to investigate mediational effects of employees’ departmental impact, organizational commitment, and leader support on work-family synergy and emotional exhaustion. Structural equation modelling and Hayes’ PROCESS macro were used to analyze the responses of 319 participants. Findings support the Input-Process-Output (IPO) model of team effectiveness. Relationships between team purpose/support and outcome variables (work-family synergy and emotional exhaustion) were mediated by employees’ departmental impact, organizational commitment, and leader support. Findings reveal the complexities of team processes in relation to outcomes, including work-family synergy and emotional exhaustion, that extend beyond the workplace. Data were collected at University of Redlands in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
